Ronaldo is serving his mandatory one-game suspension after being sent off during the group opener against Valencia last month. He managed to get a longer ban overturned, meaning he only has to sit out of the one game as per UEFA regulations.
Ronaldo did, however, take his place in the stands alongside girlfriend Georgina Rodriguez and his eldest son, Cristiano Jr. He watched on as Paulo Dybala took the goalscoring initiative for Juve, notching a hat-trick to send the Italian side on their way to victory.
Ronaldo missed Monday’s training session as Juve bosses gave him an additional rest period after playing at the weekend.
The 33-year-old has been in the news this week after an American model alleged that she was the victim of a cex assault by Ronaldo back in 2009.
But Las Vegas police have announced that they are reopening the investigation into the allegations.
A statement released on Monday read: “The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department responded to a call of sexual assault on June 13, 2009. At the time the report was taken, the victim did not provide detectives with the location of the incident or suspect description. A medical exam was conducted.
“As of September 2018, the case has been reopened and our detectives are following up on information being provided by the victim. This is an on-going investigation and no further details will be released at this time.”
